Maja Mihic is a pianist and a professor of piano at the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, Serbia. Maja Mihic enjoys a varied career as a solo and chamber musician. Since year 2012, she frequently performs with the renowned Serbian cellist Nemanja Stankovic (Duo Cello-Piano). They have performed at various music festivals in Serbia (BUNT in Belgrade , Festival Muzicke omladine in Kragujevac, Tisin cvet in Novi Knezevac). In Vienna, Austria, they performed at the concert of the best students of the world famous cello player and professor, Natalia Gutman.
In Italy, they gave a recital at the Palazzo Mezzanote in Milan, organized by the Societtà del Quartetto di Milano. Under the patronage of Le dimore del Quartetto, they gave a recital at the Villa Belgiojoso in Merate, Italy. Their repertoire includes important works for cello and piano by Beethoven, Hindemith, Debussy, Stravinskij, Britten, Piazzola, as well as contemporary serbian composers Aleksandar Vujic, Dragana Jovanovic, Ognjen Bogdanovic, Milica Ilic, Natasa Bogojevic.
